HOW TO READ THIS MODEL

The system, explained.

This original ball-valve concept separates the bored sphere from two curved seat markers and their supports. The ball, stem and lever turn together through a ninety-degree geometric comparison. A straight bore aligns with the two axial connections in one pose; a solid region of the turned ball crosses their centreline in the other. Inspect the separate stem packing and body-joint gasket instead of treating them as the primary seat interface. No fluid flow, required torque or leak-tight isolation is established.

Model scope and limits

Original invented geometry with a real bored sphere, curved annular seats, separate supports, two hollow body halves, drilled joints, shallow drive recess/tongue, stem/shoulder, three packing markers, bored follower/gland and lever group. No OEM CAD, source artwork or product dimensions imported. Rotation is a geometric pose comparison, not pressure-responsive floating-ball translation or a tested shutoff result. No trunnion-supported load path, seat compliance/preload, trapped-cavity relief, anti-static/fire-test certification, torque/load/flow/leakage/emissions, materials, threads, running fits, full collision, rated joints or manufacturing qualification. No equipment selection, installation, adjustment, isolation, operating or maintenance instruction.

GUIDED COMPONENT STUDY

Trace the system.

Read each explanation, then focus its component in the explorer. This is a learning route through the model, with no operating or maintenance sequence.

  1. Look through the bored sphere

The spherical closure has a real cylindrical passage and a separate shallow stem-drive recess. The quarter-turn control changes the passage orientation while keeping the sphere centre fixed. This geometric comparison establishes no leakage, pressure-driven ball displacement or shutoff certification.

  2. Distinguish the seat interface

A separate annular seat follows the ball envelope beside the axial opening. The depicted gap is invented and static; no contact, compression, preload, material pairing or leakage follows. A second seat lies on the other side.

  3. Find the support behind the seat

This bored support lies behind the separate curved seat region. The centre passage remains geometrically open. Attachment, retention strength and pressure loading are not qualified.

  4. Follow the stem-drive region

The rectangular tongue marker enters a shallow recess above the through bore. Ball, tongue, stem and lever share one geometric turning group. No verified drive fit, stress or required torque is supplied.

  5. Separate packing from the ball seat

Three annular packing markers surround the smooth stem inside its housing. They identify a different component boundary from the two ball seats. The rings have no specified compression, material or emissions performance.

  6. Inspect the gland region

The bored follower lies above the packing stack below a separate drilled bridge. Stud and nut markers remain separate. This viewing exercise provides no adjustment, preload or maintenance sequence.

  7. Read the split-body joint

The annular gasket lies between the body joint regions; drilled flanges, smooth studs, washers and bored nut markers are individually selectable. The geometric opening is not a pressure-boundary or sealing qualification.

  8. Compare lever and bore orientation

The lever joins the common ball/stem group. Turning it in this teaching model changes orientation by ninety degrees, without an operator instruction, safe-isolation claim or proof of handle indication on a particular product. Focus, separation and reset return to the aligned pose.
