HOW TO READ THIS MODEL

The system, explained.

This fixed-roof concept separates the enclosure from a static teaching inventory. Trace hollow fill, withdrawal and vent connections, then inspect the covered manway. The guided study explains these relationships; a real installation also depends on its product, design, venting, containment and inspection requirements.

Model scope and limits

Original generic wall and double-surface roof, geometric connection penetrations, covered manway and static inventory. No engineered roof framing, qualified joints, containment, foundations, corrosion allowance, overfill protection, normal/emergency vent devices, vapour handling, vent sizing or verified dimensions.   1. Distinguish the enclosure from its contents

    The cylindrical wall surrounds a separate static liquid volume. Turn illustrative phases off to inspect the empty enclosure. The drawn liquid height is a teaching choice, without a level instrument, live reading or capacity calculation.

  2. Trace the fill penetration

    The hollow fill neck meets a geometric opening in the wall. This teaches the relationship between a connection and the enclosure it penetrates. Pipework, overfill protection, joint qualification and an operating fill rate are outside this model.

  3. Find the low connection

    The hollow withdrawal neck enters through a second wall opening near the bottom. Its position differs from the upper fill connection. No minimum level, suction performance, drain procedure or product suitability follows from these illustrative positions.

  4. Inspect the roof and vent opening

    The roof has inner and outer surfaces and an open apex aligned with the hollow vent neck. This is a connection concept only: normal and emergency vent devices, vapour controls, sizing and discharge destinations are absent. An open neck does not establish a complete venting system.

  5. Recognize the covered manway

    A larger bored neck, flange marker, gasket and closed cover form a generic manway concept. Reveal internals removes the cover visually; isolate the neck to inspect its opening. This lesson gives no tank-entry, cover-opening or maintenance procedure.
