HOW TO READ THIS MODEL

The system, explained.

An adjustable production choke can sit on or near a production tree and vary the restriction before the wellstream moves toward pipelines or process equipment. This invented static assembly opens three passages into a central chamber, then separates the inlet, outlet-side annular seat, tapered needle, stem, bonnet, packing locations and handwheel. The model retains a complete body and trim; the studio still and reversible default viewer half-section expose the inside. It shows a gap between the needle and seat to avoid implying shutoff. Compare the upstream production-tree lesson and the downstream wellhead-sand-separator and oil-battery lessons. The model does not calculate flow, pressure drop or a suitable choke setting.

Model scope and limits

Original 44-part static teaching assembly with invented proportions and materials. Central chamber and three body passages are real openings; the inlet/outlet necks, two bored flanges, separate annular seat, tapered needle, stem, bonnet sleeve, packing/guide regions, handwheel and bored display feet are independently inspectable. No product dimensions or pressure classes are specified. The manual wheel does not move the needle, and the shown gap does not establish a selected opening, shutoff, flow coefficient, pressure drop, erosion resistance, sand tolerance, vibration, sealing, packing performance, rated joint, materials, controls, well barriers or safe operating procedure. This is a production concept, not a drilling well-control choke or manifold.

GUIDED COMPONENT STUDY

Trace the system.

Read each explanation, then focus its component in the explorer. This is a learning route through the model, with no operating or maintenance sequence.

  1. Start at the tree-side inlet

The blue neck and separate body passage are geometrically open into the chamber. They show a possible production-tree boundary, without a rated connection or measured wellstream.

  2. Inspect the complete body

The model retains a complete wall with three genuine openings. The studio still and reversible viewer half-section expose the chamber. This invented body has no pressure-containment qualification.

  3. Find the restriction seat

The gold annulus is a separately selectable outlet-side seat region with an actual centre opening. Material, retention, contact and wear life are unknown.

  4. Compare the tapered needle

The independent solid taper points toward the seat but leaves a visible gap. Its silhouette cannot establish calibrated travel, flow, erosion or shutoff.

  5. Follow the stem axis

A separate stem leads from the taper toward the handwheel. The scene has no mating thread, thrust bearing or verified movement.

  6. Reveal the bonnet region

The hollow sleeve surrounds the stem. It identifies a bonnet role without proving a pressure joint, access sequence or seal.

  7. Locate packing

Two individual dark annuli and a follower mark where stem packing might be considered. They are visual role cues, not compressed or tested seals.

  8. Check the manual operator

The wheel and four spokes suggest an adjustable configuration. No rotation, actuation direction or operating instruction is represented.

  9. Finish at the outlet

The outlet neck and body passage are real openings beyond the separate seat. Their geometry does not calculate pressure drop or downstream conditions.
